HAPPY NEW YEAR! Here is some news and a few challenges...
Happy New Year to you all! Writing and recording for the new CD is coming along great. 2007 is going to be a year of big challenges and opportunities for us all. We look forward to getting out to see some of you whom we have yet been unable to visit and turning on many more folks to KANE music.
It's voting time again… Over the past few years you all have stepped forward to show yourselves as a powerful force. Your support got KANE invited to play the main stage at Country Thunder USA and made KANE a 2-time winner of the New Country Star Best Band. Nashville Star Season 5 - Whitney Duncan
In other news, Christian has been co-writing in Nashville with Whitney Duncan who is an amazing musician just named a finalist for the latest season of NASHVILLE STAR! This is a great opportunity for Whitney and we'd love for you to welcome her into our community by giving her your votes as she pursues the title. NASHVILLE STAR is a series on USA Television where the audience votes the winners. The show is underway and the first episode airs on Thursday, January 11th at 10pm (9pm Central/Mtn). If you have never seen the show, it'll give you a good idea of what life is like for singers and songwriters trying to catch a break. So check it out… maybe you'll see Christian or someone else you know cheering on Whitney or running around town… and then don't forget to VOTE for Whitney Duncan! Welcome to the end of the year everyone. Here is a quick update...
We enjoyed seeing those of you who made it to the acoustic gig at The Whisky in October. It looks like that will most likely
be the last show this year. But that doesn't mean we've been on vacation.
1. Up front and center, Christian and Steve are currently writing and recording in Nashville and Los Angeles
towards a major label debut CD. There is a lot of amazing stuff coming out of this and we hope to be able
to share some nuggets with you in the near future.
2. In further news, Christian just got the news that a film he worked on earlier this year has been
accepted into SUNDANCE for 2007! "Four Sheets to the Wind"
has been accepted as one of 16 films in the prestigious Dramatic Competition from
almost 1000 submissions. Let's hope this film gets even more of the recognition it deserves.
3. Finally, we have been promising you new merchandise and here it is... just in time for the Holiday Season.

Sunset Boulevard... we're back...
It's been a long, hot summer and we've all been super busy. Following some amazing dates in Europe, KANE returned to
the USA and began the long, hard process of writing and recording for the next album. We are still at it. But it
is time to take a break and play some music for you all.
KANE is playing again in Los Angeles at the Whisky A Go-Go!

We are off to Europe for our shows in London; Fulda, Germany; and Munich, Germany.
In the meantime, we will be suspending t-shirt sales (because they are now all sold out) but CD sales will go on. If we take a while to respond to your add requests or comments please understand that it is because we are on the road. We will be checking in, but may not have time to respond until we return. Please do drop us a line while we are gone to keep us company on the road. We look forward to meeting all our new fans in Europe and seeing old friends who we've seen before. Wish us safe travels and great shows. We'll see you at the end of May when we get back into writing and recording mode...

Hi all! We are back from Nashville with some BBQ in our bellys and fire under our shoes. Let's get rollin'...
First off, a big, huge THANK YOU to all our friends and supporters who made it out to Nashville for our Label Showcases. We had an amazing time and were overwhelmed by the support you all gave us. People came by plane from California, buses from Florida and car from all over. We are so lucky to have you all there to support us. How did it go? It went great; and we are currently weighing our options and talking with the labels. You didn't think we could tell you more than that, did you?
Second, our trip to Nashville allowed us to celebrate our good friends Jerrod Neimann and Richie Brown's success in co-writing a #1 hit with Garth Brooks. Here is a picture of a few familiar faces :

No time to waste... so straight to the KANE news...
1. KANE have gotten the attention of several major recording companies in Nashville, TN who have asked us to put on shows for them. These shows (called "showcases") are a test used by record labels to decide whether they want to sign bands to record deals. Thanks to all your support, and a bit of hard work on our own part, we have the opportunity to try to take KANE to the next level with the help of a major label. Here is the info:
TUESDAY, MARCH 7th at 5:30pm at 12th & Porter in Nashville, TN (114 12th Ave. N.)
This is a "closed showcase" being put on by one of the major labels. However, ALL KANE FANS ARE WELCOME. There is no Cover Charge.
THURSDAY, MARCH 9th at 6:00pm at 12th & Porter in Nashville, TN (114 12th Ave. N.)
This is an "open showcase" being put on for some other major labels. EVERYONE IS WELCOME. There is no Cover Charge.
We would love if any of you can join us for these free shows. By showing these major record label folks the strength of the KANE community, it would go a long way towards getting us signed to a major label, getting a record out with major distribution (record stores, Best Buy, etc.), touring nationally and internationally, getting videos made, and so on. If you can make it, please wear you KANE t-shirts, make one of your own, or do whatever it takes to show your support.
2. We thought you might want to sing along to some of the new songs being played at the show... so we have posted NEW KANE SONGS on our MySpace! page for streamed listening. (MySpace!) Check them out. Let us know what you think. Join our Friends List. If you rip these songs, please don't post them elsewhere, it gets us in trouble. Plus, playing them off MySpace helps promote the band by increasing our rankings there.
A few notes about showcases... This will be a short set compared to a usual show. It's also pretty early in the day (check those set times twice). The club is small... so we suggest you get there early. We look forward to seeing those of you who can join us. This is a great opportunity we have been working on for a long time. We hope to see you there.
Special note #3: We are looking at doing a few dates in Europe this spring. If anyone has venue suggestions for an acoustic KANE show in Paris, London, Germany, or thereabouts please let us know. Let's all hope we see you this spring and will be celebrating our brand new major label deal!

Hey all! Sorry for being away for a while. We’ve all been really busy. This summer found KANE and Christian Kane playing special shows in LA and Pennsylvania, recording and writing in Nashville and Los Angeles, appearing in INTO THE WEST on TNT, riding shotgun in a NASCAR car, debuting a pair of independent films (Keep Your Distance and Her Minor Thing) filming a new television show (see below), and now releasing a new CD (also below) amongst other things. We’re planning some more things for the fall and looking to finish up 2005 strong. But for now we have a few announcements. So let’s get right into it… read on below…

Hey all. Here is a LONG summer update for ya. Lots of stuff... so here it goes:
Congrats to the contest winners who joined us in Arizona for Country Thunder. Tracy made it all the way from Oklahoma! Trudi from the UK came to see us (by way of Denver). Arlene and Lisa came to see us from Northern California. Lots of you new fans either found us in Arizona or came out to be there! Thanks to all of you for making it possible for KANE to play the big stage at Country Thunder 2005 in Florence, Arizona! For those of you asking about the Wisconsin Country Thunder... I guess the other bands are scared of you all, because the promoters are not allowing us to enter the contest for that show. Feel free to email them and tell them how you feel about that... but be nice. We're glad to see someone else get a shot, but we sure would love to be playing for you all. Seems like they could have found room for us, don'tcha think?

In other exciting news, Christian Kane is set to play a major part in the newest Jerry Bruckheimer produced drama on CBS television this Fall. Get ready to begin welcoming Christian into your homes every Tuesday night this Fall on CLOSE TO HOME. Rumor has it that we just might hear some music coming out of Christian in his role as the husband of an aggressive prosecutor.

Finally... KANE have been writing and recording in Nashville, LA, and all over the last few years. While we are still working on putting together all the elements to get a killer studio album out to follow up the KANE debut, we have managed to come up with a little something along the way...
KANE is releasing the new KANE CD titled "KANE: Acoustic Live in LONDON!" to a select group of fans in London this weekend. We are also planning on offering this CD to fans at Live Events in the US in the future. Who knows? We may even put this one up on the Internet too? This CD features 12 songs recorded acoustic/LIVE in LONDON (clever title, huh?) on October, 30, 2004. This CD also includes between-song stories and several new songs. Plus, both Christian Kane and Steve Carlson take a turn at some songs on their own. We'll keep you posted on this one; but we were so excited about it we just had to let the cat out of the bag...

LONG OVERDUE UPDATE...
2004 was very good to us, thanks mostly to all of you. KANE played shows
in Chicago,
Tampa, London,
and Los Angeles and
saw sales of their debut CD continue as fans spread the word. As 2005 comes
around, we will do our best to catch up on some of what we missed in 2004 - such
as more frequent updates to the website.
1) Christian Kane spent the last part of 2004 and will spend the beginning
of 2005 filming a Steven Spielberg-produced six-part, 12-hour epic about the
settling of the American West called INTO THE WEST.
The project, which will air on TNT in June, has found Christian riding horses
and shooting scenes in both the US and Canada. Hopefully they will find a place
in the film for KANE's music. It is a film about the West after all.
2) As some of you may have heard, Christian Kane has signed a publishing
agreement with EMI Publishing
Nashville. Christian has spent any time not filming busy writing and
recording new songs in Nashville, LA, and even on the set. We are thrilled to
be working with the EMI team. They have been great to us; and we hope to have a
long and fruitful relationship with EMI.
3) While everyone is very busy, expect some KANE shows in early 2005 after
Christian returns from filming.
4) We've finally made some updates to the http://www.kanemusic.com/ website. You'll
find a few new pics in the gallery section - with more to come. You will also
find more info on players with the band in the BIO section.

We are sorry to inform you that due to a scheduling conflict, KANE will not be playing August 19th at 1650 Club as previously planned. However, Shooter Jennings will be there with his fine band which includes Ted Kamp - who also plays bass for KANE. So don't cancel your plans folks. Head on out and see Shooter rip it up on one of his first big gigs since his stint opening for Texas favorite Pat Green a few weeks back. Shooter recently signed to a major label and has a record coming out soon. Those of us who can make it will see ya there.
More to come shortly on upcoming gigs. To those who emailed about UK shows... it looks to be coming together. More info to come. Let's just say you should keep the first week in November open, OK... The game will be televised on WGN. The anthem should be televised too and will be on around 1:05pm Central Time.

The show will take place on Sat. May 15, 2004 at the Pickwick Theatre in

We are still setting this up, so we don't know who else will be playing that night. We just wanted to get the word out to you all ASAP.
KANE will go on stage @ 10:00pm. Club Lingerie is a great club (21+ unfortunately) in the heart of Hollywood at 6507 Sunset Blvd. Join us for a night of great music -- then wander on down to close out the night at White Lotus, The Room, The Burgundy Room, The Beauty Bar, or any other of a number of places within a short walk.

Hey everyone! We were just informed that KZLA 93.9 (one of the biggest country stations in the nation and L.A.'s country station) has been playing "Sweet Carolina Rain". We really appreciate all your support and now that it's in the hands of the station, if you live in L.A. listen for it.

Hey KANE fans! Sorry to be out of touch for so long. We've been busy working on some endeavors that you will know about at a later date. We tried putting together a 4th of July show, but the venue was not completed in time. That said, here is some new news on Christian's latest film project.
Christian has been in Kentucky for the last few weeks, and will be for a few weeks more, filming the feature called KEEP YOUR DISTANCE. The film is directed by Stu Pollard and produced by Stu Pollard & Christina Varotsis. We have very little info about the film, other than that you may also see another familiar KANE face in this picture. You can find more info at http://www.bluegreyfilm.com.
In other KANE news, America High has now been downloaded over 5,000 times from our site and over 1,000 times from MP3.com. We are also happy to say that the debut CD is still selling strong, both domestically and abroad. Special thanks to the UK fans for your support! It's unbelievable!

Just dropping by for a quick update. Christian spent the end of last year in Austin, TX filming Secondhand Lions for Director, Tim McCanlies. Christian plays the younger version of Robert Duvall's character. Look for this film to arrive in theatres sometime in the coming year.
Otherwise the guys have been busy writing and recording, but we do have a few new announcements.

2. We have a new show coming up in a new venue. WEDNESDAY, MARCH 19th @ 10pm KANE will be playing at KING KING in Hollywood. Please join us for

Happy New Year to you all. It has been a while since we last talked, and we have a lot to tell you. But we will try to be brief. Here's the latest from KANE.
- On Dec 20, KANE & STARGUNN were joined by all our West Coast friends at The Viper Room to celebrate the Holidays and help out the local kids. Loads of toys were collected for Toys For Tots and the US Marines were on hand to help safely whisk them to Santa's hands for delivery to needy children. Also in the house were, among others, some friends such as David Boreanaz and his wife Jaime Bergman, Dwight Yokum, Riley Smith (of course), Tom Morello, Vince Vaughn and Shooter Jennings' Mom, Jessie Colter. Thanks all for making this a great night.
- On January 6, THE CROOKED E, starring Christian Kane aired to a great reaction on CBS television. In this TV movie, Christian plays a young Enron exec (Brian Curver - "not Culver") who witnesses firsthand the demise of Enron and experiences what the "Greed is good" philosophy can do to himself. Included in the soundtrack is the latest KANE song, MORE THAN I DESERVE, written by Christian Kane, Steve Carlson and Jeremy Stover. Chris and Steve recorded the song for the movie and it seems to have caused a stir. You can hear it when  Brian (Chris) reconciles with his wife Courtney (played by Shannon Elizabeth) about 2/3 of the way through. Thanks to Jeremy for his contributions, Penelope Spheeris and Jennifer Philips for making it possible, and to the fans for supporting us all.
- On January 10th, Christian Kane's latest film, JUST MARRIED, hits the US theaters. Christian plays Peter Prentis who is the ex-boyfriend of Sarah (Brittany Murphy) sent by her family to break up her marriage on her honeymoon with Tom (Ashton Kutcher). A KANE song is also included in this film. Listen for THE CHASE in a bar scene in Europe. Thanks to director Shawn Levy, producer Robert Simonds, and all those who helped make this possible. Please get out and show your support this weekend by making JUST MARRIED the #1 film at the box office.
- Finally, there was some confusion over a Jan. 10th show we had been trying to set up at The Viper Room. That show will NOT be happening, but we hope to reschedule it for a later date shortly.

Let's play two! KANE played a double header today... and everyone came home a winner.
First up, KANE kicked off the Sizzlin' Country Benefit for Cystic Fibrosis at Warner Bros. Studios. KANE were honored to be asked to contribute to such a worthy cause and to play on the same stage with other up and coming performers such as Cyndi Thompson, Trick Pony, Tommy Shane Steiner & Jeffrey Steele. Thanks to Cliff Downs for inviting us.
Later that night the guys turned in a thundering performance at The Viper Room in front of a jam-packed crowd of longtime fans and industry notables. Those in attendance included several Nashville producers and execs, hometown friends and numerous celebs, and Toby Keith's band and entourage. (Hey guys, don't forget to tell Toby we're ready to open the next tour.)
The show kicked off as usual with a bang, but the electricity in the air was something special tonight. The energy grew and built until it reached a critical mass, exploding in a rousing marathon encore of the Skynyrd classic 'Sweet Home Alabama'. We can modestly say that this was one of the best shows KANE has ever performed. Tonight was simply magic. KANE are excited to get back on stage again. Shows are being planned for The Viper and possibly a larger, all ages venue.

Joining Chris and Steve on stage were old friends, and kick-a@% musicians, Craig Eastman and Jerry Angel. KANE are thrilled to be playing with them again and, as always, they rocked. KANE also introduced the fans to new friends, and stellar musicians in their own right, Jason Southard and Darryl Kay. Jason's guitar dynamics and Darryl's rock solid bass lines fit right in. Welcome guys! You are in for one heck of a ride.

Hey KANE fans! We hope you all are well. All is good here in LA. The band is busy writing and recording at the moment, but we hope to have some gig dates for you soon. In the meantime, here is some good news about KANE and the KANE CD:
1) We received a call the other morning from BILLBOARD MAGAZINE telling us that they noticed the strong sales of the KANE CD on Soundscan (the service that tracks music sales). They asked us for copies so that they could check it out and put it on the right sales chart. Thanks to all of you how have bought the CD or recommended it to a friend. Those of you who haven't, what are you waiting for?
2) The Bronze Shelter had two of their staff members review the KANE CD and is featuring the reviews on their front page at http://www.bronzeshelter.com. Thanks to Barbara and the rest of the staff for checking it out.
Last, but certainly not least...
3) We are sad to hear that Zoe has decided to take some time off and dial back from the CK.net website. We want to thank her publicly on behalf of the entire band and their team for her efforts and dedication. Zoe: "You are the greatest!" Best of luck in your new pursuits. We are sure you will do well and will find a worthy successor if that is the plan.
